Interestingly enough, hypnosis is used many times as anesthesia (especially in dental work). Several people use it rather than anesthesia or in addition to it to help speed up the healing process and pain afterwards.

Hypnobirthing? The use of hypnotism has clearly evolved and can be applied to a wide set of methods such as giving birth. I just heard of the term now but I guess you will be put into hypnosis to have a painless childbirth..like it is the new anesthesia..^ ^

Please do look into hypnobirthing for a post of your own (and let me know when you do post it). I cannot say much about this, as I have no children of my own, but I do know if I ever decide to change this, I would use hypnobirthing (and blog the whole thing -lol). I can understand your hesitation, though. But, if you do put the work in, I suspect you would gain a lot more confidence about it. Imagine not exposing yourself or your baby to chemicals.

I've been hearing about this and I'm supposed to be looking into it for a post of my own. I'm just afraid I'll put all kinds of work into it and end up screaming for an epidural, ya know!
