@ Steven I like your method. It is right up there with my winter hikes (though I am still thawing from the Saturday before last's). I think Jack mentioned he and his family use the holiday for family cheer and good food as well.</description>

		<description>The corner of Salt Lake City's valley, where I live, empties around Christmas. Right now we have snow, and, if we do or if we don't, I will wander the streets, the parks, the avenues near my home.

We buy little, saving instead for next year's sales, and giving edible Holiday treats to loved ones.

The background noises of doom and gloom are louder each year, so I tune them out by wandering in reality, not in stores.</description>
