The book describes a project by the US Army to design a better training method for regular infantry. The method described included biofeedback and meditation training, martial arts philosophy, etc. Anyway, the issue involved a Sargent who was also a Baptist and was hesitant about meditation. My response would have been for the Sargent to meditate using something familiarly Christian as a base: the 23rd Psalm, for instance. I'd recommend doing the same, using Christian imagery for inductions and pain control. I'm wondering if anyone has written anything about this?
