The standard for any coffee is one TABLESPOON of coffee for each 6 oz of water. I didn't know Starbucks has special requirements. I really like Starbucks Yukon Blend but only at home. We mail order our coffee from NYC, a store called Porto RIco. They own their own coffee plantations and they roast the beans in Williamsburg Brooklyn; their store is in Greenwich Village. Here is their site: http://www.portorico.com/store. My husband likes really strong coffee but I need a low acid coffee - we drink "Augie's Blend". Try them, they ship all over - good coffee and VERY reasonably priced (less expensive than Starbucks for one).

LOL. Well, there is a Starbucks on my walking path...and my partner is addicted. Plus, I find their Pike's Peak decaf pretty good. Have you ever actually read how much coffee to use when making Starbuck's at home? They suggest more than the norm (of course), so I think when you make it using one teaspoon per cup, it takes away some of that Starbucks taste.

Starbucks? Why? It has to be the nastiest tasting coffee on the planet. And yet, if you buy their coffee - beans or ground - and brew it at home it tastes great. In the stores, nasty stuff!
